CUTTLEFISH, THE MAIN SPECIES LANDED AT THE PORT OF CANCALE
The port of La Houle in Cancale has been a port in the Brittany region since 2017. Its main activities are fishing and shellfish farming (oysters).
If the Brittany Region is the port authority on this port, EDEIS, as concessionaire of the ports of Saint-Malo and Cancale, is responsible for ensuring the disembarkation of these products which are then sold under auction in Saint-Malo.
The main species landed at the port of Cancale is the cuttlefish. Each season (April/August), about 150 tons are landed at Cancale.
